This month’s cover features the 2012 Women Who Rock Galveston on the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa photographed by Rhea Hemmings of Rhea’s Photographic Art. A special thanks to all the women who particpated and for all they do for our island community, to Rhea for taking all the photos, to Annie Willow for touching up the make-up and for the staff at the Texas Seaport Museum for allowing us to shoot the cover and head shots on the Elissa and for their time after museum hours. It’s nearly upon us, the day we have waited for, OPENING day!
May 11th 2012 will be remembered in the Galveston soccer community as the day Soccer arrived in town.
The opening National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) match at Weis Stadium has been eagerly anticipated by the club and fans, but the community and local businesses should also be heralding this participation in a U.S elite soccer league as one that everyone can benefit from economically.

CONCESSIONS & VENDORS
Our opening game against America USA FC (formally Club America Academy) kicks off at 7pm at Weis Stadium, Galveston, May 11th and we have openings for concessions & vendors to showcase and sell their goods at the stadium before, during and after the match takes place.
With an estimated 1’000 captive audience expected at all each of our home matches, can you afford to miss out on this opportunity of a huge captive passing trade.

MATCH TICKETS
Through our ticket partner at GalvestonSocial.com, tickets for all our matches are now available for sale.
NPSL matches are $10 for adults, children under 12 go free with a ticket holding participant.
We have also managed to secure Mexican Superclub Club de Futbol Monterrey for a challenge match on July 2 which will be held at the larger Kermit Courville Stadium in Galveston to help cope with demand from supporters to see this game.
Monterrey Rayados are current two time CONCACAF Champions, and it is a huge honour for our club and the city of Galveston for a club of this stature to offer their team to us in this challenge match.
